Software Code Name: DAD and MOM
Around this time of year, Drake Software starts developing new features for our tax software program. Here is a sneak peek at what could be two of the most important additions we’ll be working on throughout the summer.

DataFile Access Driver (DAD)
DAD is the code name for a new feature that will allow you to manage a paperless office. DAD can be thought of as a virtual filing cabinet that organizes each of your client’s information into individual drawers.

Multi-Office Manager (MOM)
MOM is the code name for a complete office manager. Whether you manage one office or several offices, you will love this new feature. MOM will provide you with an overview of your entire operation, allowing you to know the status of any return at any time, as well as what each preparer is billing. And of course MOM will be designed to work with DAD.

Drake Expands Focus
In the past, Drake Software has primarily focused on tax prep and electronic filing, and we have not given practice management the attention it deserves. That is changing. Keep watching for more information about these exciting additions to Drake’s tax software.
