Processing Times

In the past, tax preparers have been accustomed to waiting until the next day to receive their acknowledgements. This year may be different. The IRS has announced a plan for three processing times for tax year 2005. Both preparers and taxpayers may benefit from quicker acknowledgements with less waiting time. For those preparers who provide bank products in their suite of services, this could mean more checks per day which ultimately means more revenue for you.

The IRS plans to re-arrange which EFINs and which state returns should be filed to each Submission Processing Center. This will be a seamless transition for Drake Software customers as we route returns to the appropriate service center automatically.
