Two New Features in Latest Client Write-Up Program

Debbie Land is a division manger at Drake Software and is responsible for the Client Write-Up support team. She is enthusiastic about the upcoming enhancements to the program. Debbie says, “We are adding MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) to the program this year. These are the special numbers and symbols found at the bottom of checks. Banks use MICR to quickly process checks – up to 20 miles per hour! This was our most highly requested item at the Update Schools last year, and we think this will really benefit our customers, particularly our large payroll customers. We are also in the process of adding the capability to electronically file 941s. Both of these enhancements should be available for our customers very early this year.”

Drake Software offers a Client Write-Up program (currently free to Drake customers) that allows users to prepare and print both live and after-the-fact payroll, W-2s, W-3s, 1099s, 1096s, 940s, 940EZs, and 941s. A number of reports including multi-column profits and losses, pre-posted reports, comparative or single column balance sheets, payroll reporting, state employment, general ledger, transactional, journal, and division reports are available too. Templates are included to allow easy creation of a chart-of-accounts and there is even an export function to carry this information into Drake Software, eliminating the time and effort of double entry.
